RESUMO
Se realizó un estudio de intervención del tipo antes-después, para determinar el comportamiento del dolor por afecciones de la rodilla en adultos mayores mediante Sistema Su Jok en el Servicio Integral de Rehabilitación del Policlínico Universitario Norte Morón desde enero 2009 hasta diciembre 2012. El Universo constó de 237 pacientes, y de forma aleatoria pudieron seleccionar su tipo de tratamiento e individualmente sometidos a criterios de inclusión, exclusión, salida y evaluación hasta una muestra de 148. Se le informó a cada paciente de sus beneficios y la voluntariedad de participar en el mismo. Para la recolección de la información se utilizó la encuesta, que incluyó todas las variables cuanticualitativas necesarias para dar cumplimiento a los objetivos, las cuales fueron: edad; sexo; etiología; tiempo de evolución del dolor; aplicación de la escala visual analógica y su evolución final. Los resultados predominantes fueron: el sexo femenino; grupo de edad entre 6569 años; etiología por gonartrosis y deformidad angular; tiempo entre 3 a 6 meses; magnitud del dolor: antes-severo, después-ligero y la mayoría evaluados de adecuados en la evolución final. Se concluye que la aplicación del Sistema Su Jok fue un método útil que logró aliviar el dolor (AU)
An after-before intervention study was carried out, to determine the behavior of the pain for knee complaints in adults by means of Su Jok System in the Integral Service of Rehabilitation of the North area of polyclinic in Moron from January, 2009 to December, 2012. The universe consisted of 237 patients, and in a random form it could select the treatment and individually submitted to inclusion criteria, exclusion, exit and evaluation up to a sample of 148. Each patient was informed of their benefits and willingness of taking part. Survey was used for the compilation of the information, which included all the quantitative and qualitative variables to give fulfillment to the targets, which were: age; sex; etiology; time of pain evolution; application of the Analogical Visual Scale and its final evolution. The predominant results were: the feminine sex; age group between 65-69 years; etiology for gonarthrosis and angular deformity; time between 3 to 6 months; pain magnitude: before-severe, after-light and the majority evaluated as adequate in the final evolution. The application of Su Jok System was a useful method that helped to relieve the pain (AU)
